Fireworks don’t have to be loud to look amazing. If you have pets, young children or close neighbours, low noise fireworks let you enjoy colour and sparkle with far less bang.
What makes a firework “low noise”?
Many retailers rate noise from 1 (quiet) to 5 (very loud). Ground-level fireworks such as fountains and wheels are usually the quietest, because their effects come from sparks and colour rather than an aerial burst.
Our quietest fireworks
- Glittering Fire fountain — 3 minutes, 15 effects, noise 1/5
- Laser Quest fountain — 90 seconds, noise 1/5
- Peacock fountain — 60 second fan, noise 1/5
- Whizz Wheel — spinning wheel, noise 1/5
- Proton Burst rockets — garden rockets, noise 1/5
- Mammoth sparklers — golden sparkle
Tips for a pet-friendly display
- Bring pets indoors before dark and close curtains.
- Play the TV or music to mask sudden sounds.
- Give pets a safe hiding place.
- Tell neighbours what time your display will start and finish.
- Keep the display short and finish well before the legal cut-off time.
Build a quieter display
Start with sparklers, then two or three fountains and a wheel, and finish with a low-noise rocket pack. It still feels like a proper show — just a calmer one.
