Gender reveal fireworks turn a big announcement into a moment everyone remembers. Here is how they work and how to plan a reveal that goes smoothly.
How do gender reveal fireworks work?
Gender reveal cakes look the same from the outside but fire either pink or blue. Our Surprise Baby girl (pink) and Surprise Baby boy (blue) cakes fire 25 shots over around 35 seconds from a single fuse.
Keeping the secret
Give the scan result in a sealed envelope to a trusted friend or relative. They buy the right colour and set up the cake, so the parents-to-be find out with everyone else.
Day or night?
Firework colour shows best once it is dark.
Safety checklist
- Category F2 — spectators at least 8 metres away.
- Place the cake on flat, firm ground.
- An adult lights the fuse at arm’s length and steps back.
- Use fireworks on private land and keep to the legal times.
